FIGat7th (formally 7+Fig Shopping Center) is an open-air shopping mall located in the Financial District of Downtown Los Angeles. Some of its current retailers include Target, Starbucks Coffee, Morton’s Steakhouse and California Pizza Kitchen. There are also weekly and monthly events hosted by the mall, such as a farmer’s market and art exhibitions.

The mall primarily catered to office workers in Downtown Los Angeles. With the rapid growth of the area’s population, however, the mall has started to reposition itself to better serve the needs of the residential community.

Figat7th let many of their leases expire as they lured new anchor tenants. This left vacant storefronts during a recession. They wanted a solution that would communicate that the change was good for the mall. We created window graphics for more than twenty storefronts. These graphics included positive messages such as “Make room for what’s possible” and “Make room for wellness.”
